May day bank holiday saw us visit a site just on the outskirts of Tewkesbury. Croft Farm Water Park offers hard standing and grass pitches for touring and camping, seasonal and cabin accommodation all situated around a lake. The site contains a boathouse, that offer a wide array of water activities along with a gym, shop and small café area. We decided that this site would be a great place to visit with our closest friends and have a long weekend together. When we owned the air awning, I made some lighting for the awning that would be durable, easily removable, yet completely unique. I created 3 lights that housed some multi coloured (RGB) LEDs and the idea was we could choose any colour we wanted when we were in the awning. The lights worked really well, they could either be clipped into the roof or rested on the air beams. However we generally didn’t like the colour they gave off, we couldn’t “dial” in the colour that really looked warm and welcoming. One of the very first things I realised I needed when we first started caravanning was a watering can. I only realised this after I had to fill the toilet flush tank with 4 kettles worth of water. Over time, however, we have found a watering can a really useful item to have in the caravan arsenal. We use it to clean the windows, top up Chop’s water bowl and recently we have started to top up the Aqua Roll on a daily basis. Another essential piece of kit to have on board is a bucket. And so here we are. Half way through the first month of 2016. Last year promised so much. Our first year of active holiday making, journeys and adventures in our new caravan. Sadly mid way through the year things didn’t quite turn out that way. With the loss of a dear friend, much loved one and never recovering from that or a £3,000 car bill holidays were cut short in July. We did manage a couple of outings later in the year, but to be completely fair our heart, our passion wasn’t really in it. 2016 however promises to be our time to start again.
