CL Booking Launch.

Caravan holiday bookings continue to rise, and with interest in Certificated Locations becoming ever more popular, a new website and App dedicated to CL site bookings has recently been launched. I had a brief conversation with Ted Howard-Jones one of the team of people behind this new venture to get more information about the new system.     Hello Ted, so first off introduce yourself Hi Dan, well, I’m a farmer who has diversified my small farm and one of our enterprises is a CL. In a former life, I was in marketing and app development. 6 years ago I helped to set up the CL...

The Jackery Explorer 500

If you live under a rock or have been absent from the internet for a couple of months you may have escaped the mass reviews of the Jackery portable power station from a selection of bloggers and vloggers. As a part of the UK launch of Jackery, we received a Jackery Explorer 240 and solar panel for our thoughts and review. We were upfront and honest about our review status and in the video I stated that I wouldn’t buy the 240, instead for me a Jackery Explorer 500 would suit my needs better. We are planning to maximise the time in the caravan, minimise excursions to attractions and take advantage of some wonderful landscapes to enjoy all on our own terms. However, we...

Diamondbrite Leisure review

Up until now we have had a straightforward cleaning process on the outside of our caravan. Using techniques borrowed from the automotive industry and products designed specifically for the leisure industry we developed a regime that worked well.     We started with a snow foam, then a rinse, then a wash, then a rinse and then wipe down before some wax was applied and a final buff. It always made the caravan, bright and shiny, and for our Lunar that was a few years old, it always restored a youthful look to its exterior. It did however take some time to achieve a good result and was...

The ultimate caravan jockey wheel

Its April and its seven months since we collected our new caravan. One of the few niggles I have with the caravan is its terrible Jockey wheel. The jockey wheel is a standard ALKO type made of a hard plastic and this became an issue when we manoeuvred the caravan at a recent trip away at Lincoln Farm Park. The wheel would not turn when we moved the caravan with the motor mover, and just kept digging into the pitch. This meant I had to keep lifting the front of the caravan onto the soft gravel that was in front of the caravan, while Angela shuffled her feet to reposition the gravel and remove...
