And so here we are. Half way through the first month of 2016. Last year promised so much. Our first year of active holiday making, journeys and adventures in our new caravan.
Sadly mid way through the year things didn’t quite turn out that way. With the loss of a dear friend, much loved one and never recovering from that or a £3,000 car bill holidays were cut short in July.
We did manage a couple of outings later in the year, but to be completely fair our heart, our passion wasn’t really in it.
2016 however promises to be our time to start again. WE ARE / WE HAVE planned on 9 epic holidays this year. Our trips will take us to some wonderful local spots, back to a favourite from last year and into Wales & the Peak district. Details of which we will share, when the time comes.
In just under 4 weeks we visit Morton On Marsh in the Cotswolds. I love the whole area, and I want to share my love of the Cotswolds with the family. We are staying at the Caravan Club site just off the high street, and within walking distance of the pubs, restaurants and shops of Morton on Marsh. We have also discovered that we are a very short cycle ride away from the Batsford Arboretum, which we are going to visit.
So. Its January. What is there to do ? well the Van does need cleaning since we used it at Christmas. Oh yes – we camped out over Christmas, but that’s another story…. So in the coming weeks we will visit Lenny, and give him a good spring clean both inside & out.
