We had planned on visiting Devon this month, but with the passing of a close friend and an unexpected car bill of £3,000 we opted to stay with some good close friends who happen to have a huge section of land that will one day become a small camp site.
The location is Somerset, North east Somerset to be more specific, and the location set us up for having some great days away in the city of Bath as tourists. I visit Bath on a weekly basis, but its only when you really try to become a tourist in your local area do you appreciate and reconnect with your surroundings.
During the week Angela visited the Fashion Museum that is a fascinating adventure. I highly recommend it. Especially when you have an excited 8 year old girl who loves dressing up. The boys on the other hand spent a few days playing action hero’s, using quad bikes and making fires.
We ended the week with a group meal of fish and chips and hacked out plans for the future, toasted to absent friends and forged closer links to the ones we love.
All in all it was an emotionally charged week, one that I wont forget in a hurry for many reasons.
